Pictures, pictures, pictures!

My little man is growing so fast. He seems so big. Every time I think that he really is getting huge, I gain some perspective (I just saw pictures of a 7 week old that could give Jacob a run for him money) and realize that he is still my little man.

He is changing so much and it is fun to watch him learn things. He is reaching for things now. He hasn’t quite figured out how to grab things (he sometimes does it, but I don’t think he knows how he did it), but he reaches his arm out towards things. He reaches for my face when I am talking to him and it is too cute.

I have lots of pictures to catch you up on and stories to go with each, so bear with me as this is going to end up being a long post. Enjoy the pics!

Mom bought him 2 hats and sun glasses. Here he is doing a fashion show of his new stuff. He seems to like the hats (I keep on downstairs to put on him whenever we go outside since it is super sunny these days) and he didn’t really like the sunglasses.

These are his “who me?” faces. Too cute!

He is adorable when he sleeps. Micah took the one of me sleeping with him. We were supposed to be packing (it was the Friday before we moved), but he had not been sleeping well that week and I couldn’t stay awake any longer. I love naps on the couch with him…I hope it doesn’t spoil him too much!

These are more pictures of him the Friday before we moved. He was supposed to be napping. Does he look like he was sleeping?!? I don’t think he got the memo.

Helping to pack the day before we moved!

Just about every morning around 6am, he gets put in bed with us on his belly. Now I know that he could then get used to that and I don’t want our kids sleeping with us, but he starts to stir and he is not ready to get up and this is the quickest way to get him back to sleep. He was just too cute sleeping exactly like his daddy that I just had to take some pictures.

My dad lives on a lake and Jacob loves being outside. This is one of the first days that we went out and just sat by the lake (we were chit-chatting with our favorite neighbor, Melanie). There was a cool breeze coming off the water and Jacob was tired and as always, oh so cute!

This one is for his great-gramma. He likes his lamb. This lamb has spent more time with me than with Jacob. When I had Jacob, I had Adam’s mom bring it to the hospital so that I could get my smell on it and then put it in with Jacob. Well, I was very emotional and would cuddle with it at night when I slept and he kept me company when my arms were aching for Jacob. Poor Jacob; his lamb never made it in with him in the hospital, but he likes cuddling with him now that I’m sharing it with him.

Well, that is the short update. We are still unpacking and getting settled. Hopefully soon we will take Jacob swimming for the first time in the lake…maybe we will have time for that on Saturday. Today Jacob ran a 101 degree fever around lunch time and had a 99.5 fever at 3:30. He has been more fussy when he got tired, but has been acting normal besides that. He has been harder to console when he was fussy. I called the doctor and am waiting for a call back. I guess I’m going to be taking him in tomorrow. Hopefully it isn’t anything, but it might be his ears. Poor little man. He just hasn’t been 100% since he first got congested. Please pray that God will fix our baby boy. Also, Adam’s birthday is Monday, just FYI.

And HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY Uncle Thomas – Love Jacob
