I did a “spring” photo shoot with Jacob in the backyard today. We got him his Easter outfit while we were in Atlanta (found it at the Children’s Place outlet store) and that is what he is wearing. I’m entering him in a contest that BabyTalk magazine is doing to find the cutest baby (he is going to win, no doubt about that) and I went to enter him today and read that I couldn’t use professional pictures so the JcPenny photo shoot pictures were out . . . thus the need to go outside and take some more. There are a ton. I started with 150 and narrowed them down to 48. Enjoy!

Shopping in the Rain
I don't think the Waits children could experience more different weather than right now...
Micah: in sunny FL where is is predicted to be 90 degrees tomorrow
Juli: in sunny Denver, CO where it is 14 degrees and has 15" of snow
Angela: in cloudy GA where it is 60 degrees and raining (and more rain is predicted for tomorrow)
Yesterday we had a great time visiting with my cousin Candi and her 3 kids in Chattanooga, TN. We got on the wrong highway so it took us 45min longer to get there (supposed to be about a 2 hour trip), but it was pretty and I got a good nap in. We hadn't seen them in 4 years so it was good to catch up.
We got back to Roswell around 10pm and put Jacob to bed and talked with Louise and Jim for a little and then went to bed ourselves. The plus of Jacob having an off schedule (once you get over the crankiness) is that he sleeps in. He let us sleep until 830!
We hit the outlets and cleaned them out! I didn't get an Easter outfit (so sad; guess I'll have to do more shopping when we get home, oh darn!), but Jacob and Adam found stuff to wear for Easter. I have some handsome men! All 3 of us got a good amount of really nice, cheap clothes. We spent most of our money at Banana Republic, Gap and Children's Place.
Jacob fell asleep in the car on the way back and, surprisingly, went back down for a nap when we got home. I just finished the PowerPoint for Sunday and Adam and Louise went to Costco to get steaks for tomorrow's dinner.
The rest of the day we are going to relax and stay warm and dry. We'll run out for dinner and then back home again. Having fun...more later...

We Made It
We made it to Atlanta. We are actually in Roswell which is past Atlanta. We left late, but still got in by 1am (that is with a 45min dinner stop and 3 other stops).
It is cold (53 degrees) and raining. Fun stuff.
Jacob slept until about 830 so that was really nice of him. He is yelling from his bed. He had too short of a morning nap. We are going to get ready, give him some lunch and then hit the road again about 1pm to go to TN to visit my cousin and her kids. We are going to hang out with them, eat some dinner and then head back to GA.
Hopefully I will have some pictures of that visit up tonight.

Leaving...
Georgia On My Mind
Literally . . . that and packing and a long car ride and all I have to do to get ready to leave in 8 hours.
We are leaving tonight around 430 to go to Atlanta to visit Adam's family. We normally go once a year, but didn't get to go last year so we are very excited. Here is our itinerary:
Wednesday: drive, eat, drive, sleep (well, Adam will not sleep, but Jacob and I will)
Thursday: sleep and then head to TN to visit my cousin Candi and her kids. We haven't seen her since we got married. We excited about that.
Friday: OUTLET SHOPPING!!!!!!! The plan is to get up and get out the door and hopefully be back in time for Jacob's afternoon nap. We have all (including Jacob) been saving our shopping money so we are ready for a spending spree! They have the best outlets there. Hopefully the next 20 times you see me I'll be in a new outfit! (bottom line is that I have to find an Easter dress, for me of course, and a vest to complete Jacob's Easter outfit. If we just get those things then it would have been a successful trip.)
Saturday: that is family day. Adam's mom, step-dad and sister are getting in late Friday night and so Saturday we are just hanging out all together.
Sunday: relax, eat lunch and then head home around 130. Hopefully Jacob will sleep a lot in the car. I'm borrowing a dvd player from Stacy so hopefully during his awake times I can keep him busy.
Off to go pack . . .
