Happy Birthday Parker

Happy birthday to my Parker!!!

I can't believe that my baby is 1 today. I hope to finish his birth story soon (you would think that after a year it would be done) and post that.

I will never forget the sound of his cries when he was born...I had been on best rest for a week and wasn't feeling any better. Adam went with me to my doctor's appointment and we knew there was a good chance we would be heading to the hospital that day and could be meeting Parker. After going through the craziness of Jacob's birth, a baby coming only 5 weeks early seemed exciting. I wasn't nervous at all. We were excited when the doctor told me I had 2 options: #1 head to the hospital now or #2 go home, pack a bag and then head to the hospital. We were about to meet our baby boy.

I will never forget the sound of his cries...When I had Jacob, they took him out of my belly and put him through a window in the delivery room. I didn't see him, I didn't hear him cry. I was so sick that I barely remember it. Having Parker was like having my first one a second time.

I will never forget the sound of his cries...they pulled Parker out of my and he cried...and he cried...and he cried...and he cried. I then hear the next best thing, Adam told me that the NICU team had just left (they were there in case Parker needed them since he was only 34 weeks and 5 days) and Parker was still in the delivery room. He didn't have to go to the NICU. He kept crying and crying and I cried and cried. It was the most beautiful sound I had ever heard.

My Parker: the past year has been amazing. I thought that I had too much love for Jacob and that my love would just be divided between you two. I'm sorry, but my love just doubled. You are such a joy and a delight. I love watching how much you are just like your brother in some areas and how you are so different in others. I love how you are a busy little beaver, always on the go, but you love to stop and love on me. You amaze me and I cannot thank God enough that He trusted me and daddy with you. I LOVE YOU! Happy birthday, my monkey!!!

Blogging

As if I don't already have enough on my plate, I'm trying my hand at writing. Don't get too excited. I'm not writing a book. I'm writing another blog. I have a ton racing through my head all throughout the day so I'm trying to be diligent to write it down and in today's technological age, why just write down on paper when you can publish it on the internet?
